The women of Austin Rise FC have gone through the fire and emerged more passionate than ever. “I think the most special thing now is being a part of helping everyone achieve what it is that their goals are, on and off the field.”

This week, we speak with Mizzou soccer alum and co-founder of Austin Rise FC, Erin Webb about her journey in the sport, as well as how she and her co-founders are helping to resurrect women's soccer in Austin.

This group of women hold extensive soccer knowledge and experience, and have the hunger to make their mark in growing the women’s game. "We are thrilled to be welcomed into the WPSL for our inaugural season and are excited to be part of a league that dedicates itself to positively impacting the women’s game," Austin Rise FC founders stated in a collective statement.

Out of the ashes comes Austin Rise FC, a 100% women-owned soccer team that announced on Thursday morning, December 15, that it will compete in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), the largest women's soccer league in the world.

Austin Rise FC is the latest expansion team of the This announcement solidifies WPSL in the Lone Star State as it continues to see rapid growth.
